Polytest™ is an innovative field inspection system for volumetric non-destructive testing of electrofusion and butt fusion joints in polyethylene (PE) pipes.

Purpose built and optimised equipment: 

  • Bespoke phased array ultrasonic probes, operating at optimal frequencies
  • A simple, modular scanner accommodating pipes with outside diameters from 90-900mm and wall thicknesses from 8-82mm (if required, the system can be adapted for pipes outside of these ranges)
  • Membrane water wedges which conform to a variety of surface geometries
  • Fully portable system allowing in-trench inspection

CladView™ is a novel non-destructive testing tool for the detection and sizing of critical flaws in clad pipes, vessels and overlays.

Features and capabilities

  • A unique configuration of transmit-receive and pulse-echo phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) probes
  • Detects and sizes any critical flaws introduced during the fabrication stage
  • Full matrix capture (FMC) data imaging of the cladding and its interface, using techniques such as the total focusing method (TFM)


  • Designed for inspecting corrosion resistant alloy (CRA) clad pipelines, vessels and overlays
  • Suitable for pipelines with outer diameters greater than 8 inches
  • Accommodates a wide range of pipe thicknesses through the creation of interchangeable, custom-built wedges, tailored to your requirements
